THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST. GEORGE

The church is thought to date from the early 14th century with the tower added later in the same century. Alterations have been made over the years and the extensive restoration work carried out in the 1800s had the effect of altering the appearance of the church. Carved bench ends are of particular interest and include a depiction of Florence Wyndham and her twins born after her return to life.
