THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST. DUBRICIUS

It is thought likely that the first church was founded by St. Dubricius himself . The present church building dates from the 13th century. Reconstruction work took place in the 15th century and considerable restoration work took place in the 19th century. A truncated spire clad in oak shingles rises from the tower which sits on massive foundations, possibly from an earlier building. The church contains an ancient clock and there is also a tower clock which was installed in the 19th century. The tower contains six bells, the oldest dated 1617.
