The church is thought to date from the 13th century with additions and alterations extending from the 15th century to the 20th century. Wagon type roofs are thought to be of the 15th century and the chancel and screen are of the 19th century. The church furnishings are of interest and the new lectern was carved by a local craftsman in 1999. A short tower contains 3 bells cast in1873, and an older bell dating from 1770 is preserved with the church clock striking on it.
