THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST. MARY

The church dates from the 12th, century when it was a small church with a tower and 3 bells. Over the centuries the church deteriorated and by the 18th century was nearly in ruins, but by 1840 it was rebuilt. In 1920 the church was much restored to the church as seen today. Between 1950 and 1960 various repairs were carried out to keep the church in good repair and new bells were installed. The tower now houses a ring of six bells.
